Up to the mid 1920s, Hotel Orto
di Roma was part of a family-run farm and was well known for the quality
of produce grown and the wholesome cuisine available from the farm kitchen.
Today, the agricultural traditions of Hotel Orto di Roma live on in the
hotel's restaurant, popular with local residents as well as our guests.
Our innovative menus are all created around the best seasonal produce available
and the flavours of rustic, authentic Italian cuisine. Enjoy traditional
Roman dishes such as 'saltimbocca' - succulent veal rolled with ham, sage
and even marsala wine - 'spaghetti alla vongole veraci' (spaghetti with
clams) and 'carciofi alla romana' (plump artichokes dressed with local herbs,
garlic, lemon and olive oil). Journey outside the city and savour specialities
from around Italy such as fresh fish dishes infused with the spirit of Sardinia.
